13/03/2022: 💛💛💙💙

Lots of news around the world at the moment, and lots of news around Skambankt as well - good, bad, and 🖤!

The new album "TI" has been out for a bit now. I still didn't have the time to really check it out, but as promised - lyrics and translations will be out asap.
The reviews have been great so far! Here's a random collection of some of the many reviews:There are also a couple of interviews about the new album that you should check out, for example with NPS and Musikknyheter.

Now to the bad news: Skambankt had to postpone their tour. =:-( The reason they give is that they just didn't sell enough tickets to cover the costs of the tour - which is totally understandable, considering that Norway just opened up after Covid and therefore got rid of the financial support for touring artists. And that the audience is still doubtful whether going to concerts is actually safe (is it?) and whether the shows they buy tickets for will actually happen in the end ...
As a result, the tour was moved to the fall. Check out some of the new dates here. There will probably be more shows than that, but some of the concerts haven't been rescheduled yet.

And since Skambankt now suddenly had a lot of time on their hands, and a bus booked to go on tour, they decided to not only make the best out of it, but make the world a (slightly) better place by helping where they could! Which means they took their bus down to Poland to get Ukrainian refugees and bring them to Norway! 🖤 You can read more about their trip and how they are cooperating with the Ukrainian embassy to help out at NRK and Dagbladet.

And if you want to help out as well, you can! Together with Morten Abel, Janove and other artists, Skambankt set up a support concert for the Ukrainian heroes in Stavanger on April 28. See the Facebook event for more information, and get your tickets here!

Not in Stavanger? No problem! Contribute to the fundraiser supporting the refugee aid for Ukraine at spleis.no!

22/02/2022: TI!

Get ready! Tomorrow, Skambankt will release their tenth studio album "TI". What we got to hear so far sounds really promising, and Dagsavisen already published a very positive first review, giving it five out of six stars!

Unfortunately, I couldn't get hold of a promo (or just the lyrics) ahead of time, and I won't have time to work on translations the next couple of days. So lyrics and translations will take a bit, sorry - but they will be up eventually. =:-)

13/02/2022: Ten times!

... or actually, twelve days! Then Skambankt's new album "TI" will be out in the stores. Yay! \o/

In addition to Satan - det e du, Skambankt have pre-released two more songs from the album: "Ti" and "Tider" - check them out here, or watch the videos below!

Also, if you haven't gotten your tickets for the tour yet, make sure to do so! Skambankt have now announced LÜT as their support band, and let me promise you, you're in for a treat there. Did I say "Yay! \o/" already? =;-)

11/01/2022: Touring time!

Remember the last news bit I posted here, ending with rumors about tour dates being announced very soon? Well, that was before everything went haywire again ... =:-(

But hey, Skambankt decided to keep their spirits up and schedule their tour after all. Yay! Let's cross our fingers, toes, and whatever else we can find and hope that the tour can actually go ahead as planned!

So make sure to check the planned dates and, very importantly, get your tickets and show your support! <3
