2007/03/29 Final concert of the tour at Tribute?
Now a fantastic tour is over. With much more people than ever coming to the concerts, and Skambankt seriously strengthening their position as one of the phattest bands you will get to see live in Norway this year. Now, what does a final concert of a tour mean? Is it just a cheap sales trick? Why conclude a tour at all? Here's an explanation. It's been up on this site for a long while that the tour starts in Stavanger and ends in Sandnes. And this was also the intention when the tour was put together half a year ago. What we didn't know at that time was that there would be a snowstorm and general ban on driving in Grimstad. (That's why the the Grimstad-gig was put off.) Also, we couldn't expect that there would be further concert requests. There were, and that is fantastic. Skambankt don't say no to a concert very often. One last thing is that one needs to distinguish between tour and festival. The festival season has already started, and here we come to a small misunderstanding, or call it a blunder if you want to. There have been several questions coming in about a concert at Cementen this weekend. First of all, we made the mistake to put up the concert date before it was official for the public, but not only that, we also put up the wrong day. Sorry for that! It is correct that we will be playing, and the right day is Saturday. Now it is official. We advise all of you who want to come to the concert to hurry down to the ticket booth at Cementen. This will be a very intimate concert. Greetings from Cementen-Nils - he wants us to point out that there is a strict limit of 18 years. Apart from that, we want to thank all of you again who contributed to turning this tour into the phattest Skambankt can remember. Keep on spreading the bad word! See you suddenly. |
