2007/02/27 Danish kids wanna rock!

On Wednesday, Feb. 28, it's time for a somehow different concert experience. Skambankt start their tour in Denmark at Gildbro Skolen, in the little town of Ishøy, close to Copenhagen. Here, Skambankt will give Danish high school students from 5th to 7th grade a lesson in Norwegian quality rock.

The slightly uncommon arrangement is the result of a competition held by the Danish radio station P3. The competition was on at primetime the whole last week, and the callers had to guess classic guitar riffs, played by Skambankt themselves. The prize was a Skambankt concert, and the winner could decide on the place.

It was a hard and exciting way to the finals last Friday. In the end, the showdown was between a Danish heavy rocker whose name we don't remember, and a Danish substitute teacher whose name we don't remember either. The heavy rocker outclassed her, but as the teacher had planned to use the prize for her 5th grade, the heavy rocker melted. It ended in him giving away the concert to the kids. What a winner!

Skambankt are looking forward.
